ESPN commentator Dan Patrick: ‘I’ve been on my feet since the end of August’

ESPN analyst Dan Patrick is ready to be back on the air.

The outspoken Patrick, who famously called former president Barack Obama a “fucking liar” during a live podcast, is expected to return to the show for another episode of ESPN 2.0 in the coming weeks, a source told ESPN.ESPN has also agreed to pay $5 million for Patrick’s contract to continue on as a contributor.

Patrick was fired from the show in July after calling President Donald Trump a “fascist” in a podcast.

ESPN announced Wednesday that Patrick will join ESPN 2, a new, new entity called ESPN 3.0.

The network is expected be announcing its newest show in the next week or so.
